New Loan Signing | Mitchell Roberts

Halesowen Town FC are delighted to announce the loan signing of Hereford centre half Mitchell Roberts, who goes straight into tonight’s match squad against Stratford Town!

The 25 year old defender has a plethora of higher division experience, having played in the EFL Championship, League Two, National League & National League North.

The former Birmingham City academy man featured once in the Championship & 12 times in Premier League ‘2’ for the Blues in the 2021/22 season. He also enjoyed a six game spell in League Two on loan at Carlisle United the same season.

In the 2022/23 campaign, Mitchell played 18 times on loan in the National League across Oldham Athletic & Solihull Moors, where he scored once for the latter.

The 2023/24 season saw the centre half play 17 times in the National League on loan for Oxford City where he kept a respectable 4 clean sheets for the side who ended up suffering relegation.

Last season saw Mitchell feature seven times in the National League on loan for Boston United. This season, in October he joined step 3 Gloucester City on loan, where he made 10 appearances, all of which in the league, and kept three clean sheets. He also played six times for Hereford in their National League North campaign this season, four of them he started.
