Honouring Colin Brookes – Important Information ahead of Bishops Stortford

On Saturday, we come together as a club and a community to honour and remember our President, Colin Brookes, who sadly passed away on Tuesday evening.

A full tribute has been planned in accordance with the wishes of Colin’s family and will take place on the pitch ahead of kick-off. We encourage all supporters to arrive early so they can pay their respects.

Pre-Match Tribute – from 2:45pm

• Supporters are asked to be inside the ground by 2:45pm.
• A tribute to Colin will begin at 2:50pm, led by club representatives and members of Colin’s family.
• A minute’s silence will take place at 2:58pm, followed by a round of applause in celebration of Colin’s life and contributions to the club.
• The James Grove bar and other outlets will be closed between 2:45-3:00pm to allow volunteers to pay their respects.

Book of Condolences

There will be two books of condolences that will be available for supporters wishing to leave messages. These will be located in the James Grove Lounge and the Yeltz Bar and will be shared with Colin’s family after the game.

Floral Tributes

Supporters who wish to lay flowers or cards may do so at the designated area near the main stand.

Tickets

Supporters are encouraged to purchase tickets online to help reduce queues and assist with early arrival.
