Commercial Director opportunity

Halesowen Town Football Club are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded individual to support the club as Commercial Director as we enter the next phase of our growth.

This is a voluntary strategic role, suited to someone who can bring commercial experience, business relationships and leadership to help the club grow sustainably. For the right individual, there may also be scope to explore wider strategic involvement, including potential investment and/or shareholding discussions.

With record attendances, back-to-back play-off finishes and major off-field developments underway, this is an opportunity to play a leading role in shaping the future of one of the Midlands’ most ambitious non-league football clubs.

Working closely with the Chairman and senior leadership team, the successful candidate will help drive the club’s commercial strategy and maximise revenue opportunities across sponsorship, partnerships, hospitality, events and wider business development.

This is a strategic role for someone who can bring energy, commercial experience and business relationships to help the club grow sustainably on and off the pitch.

Key responsibilities

The Commercial Director will help to:

• Develop and lead the club’s commercial strategy
• Grow sponsorship and partnership income
• Identify new business and revenue opportunities
• Strengthen relationships with existing sponsors and commercial partners
• Help shape hospitality, events and matchday commercial offerings
• Support the development of longer-term commercial initiatives
• Contribute to the club’s wider strategic planning and sustainable growth
• Represent the club professionally with businesses, partners and potential investors

Who we are looking for

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with experience in:

• Commercial leadership or business development
• Sales, sponsorship or partnerships
• Marketing, brand or growth strategy
• Entrepreneurial or investor-led business activity
• Senior leadership or board-level roles
• Building relationships with businesses and local networks

Prior football experience is welcome, but not essential. The most important qualities are commercial credibility, drive, professionalism and a genuine interest in helping Halesowen Town continue to progress.

Investment and wider involvement

For the right individual, there may also be scope to explore wider strategic involvement with the club, including potential investment and/or shareholding as part of the club’s future development.

Any such discussions would be considered separately and would be subject to appropriate due diligence, governance and agreement with the club.
