Chairmans end of season statement
As the 2025/26 season comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment on behalf of everyone at Halesowen Town Football Club to reflect on the year and thank those who continue to make this club what it is.

First and foremost, I want to offer a heartfelt thank you to our supporters, volunteers, sponsors and partners for your outstanding backing throughout the season.
While our playoff campaign ended in disappointment, there is no doubt that this has been another season of significant progress for the football club and part of a positive trajectory we have now sustained over a number of years.
We have secured a second consecutive playoff finish, continued to establish ourselves as one of the strongest sides in the division, and seen Jason Cowley finish the season as the league’s top scorer. Off the pitch, support for the club has continued to grow, with a record high average league attendance of 1,342. The atmosphere created by our supporters home and away has once again demonstrated what makes this club so special.

This season has also seen us lose two beloved and hugely respected figures in Colin Brookes and Bob Hickman, both of whom gave so much to Halesowen Town and Halas Hawks respectively. Their passing was deeply felt across the football community. While their loss is profound, it was heartening to see so many people come together to celebrate their lives and recognise the impact they had on those around them. Their contributions will not be forgotten.
Behind the scenes, the club continues to move forward. We are proud that Halesowen Town is operating on an increasingly sustainable footing and moving ever closer to becoming fully self-sufficient, which is critical to the club’s long-term future. That said, we are not standing still.

Work is already underway on a number of important developments that will support the club’s positive trajectory. This includes improvements to our facilities through the development of a new clubhouse and sponsors’ lounge, with work due to start imminently and continue over the summer. These plans sit alongside wider structural changes designed to strengthen how the club operates off the pitch and support continued progress across all areas.
As part of the next stage of the club’s development, we will shortly begin recruiting for a new Commercial Director to help strengthen our commercial activity, build new partnerships and support the long-term growth of the club.
We will also continue progressing the integration of Halas Hawks into the wider Halesowen Town family, helping us broaden our community reach, strengthen our player pathway and deepen our roots across the local area.
This forms part of a wider ambition for Halesowen Town to play an even bigger role in the community we represent. Over the months ahead, we will be working more closely with local schools, colleges, businesses, community groups, elected representatives and other partners to ensure this football club fulfils its potential both on and off the pitch.

Football does not stop, and planning for next season is already well underway. There is still much work to do, and progress will not happen overnight, but it is clear that this club has real momentum and a major opportunity in front of it.
My ambition remains as strong as the day I became Chairman. I am more determined than ever to help drive this football club forward and ensure we continue building something everyone connected with Halesowen Town can be proud of.
If you are interested in getting involved with the club in any capacity, whether through volunteering, sponsorship, partnership, professional expertise or supporting wider club initiatives, we would be delighted to hear from you. As the club continues to grow, we are keen to hear from people with a wide range of skills, experience and ideas who feel they can contribute positively to Halesowen Town FC. Please contact support@ht-fc.co.uk if you believe you can help us achieve our ambitions.

We will be sharing details this week regarding our End of Season Awards Evening, taking place on Saturday 16th May from 7pm at The Yeltz Bar. I look forward to celebrating the season’s achievements together and recognising the contributions and hard work of our players, staff and volunteers.
Thank you once again for your incredible support this season. You are the lifeblood of this great football club, and none of this progress would be possible without your unwavering backing.
Up The Yeltz!
Keith McKenna
