New Signing | AJ George
Halesowen Town FC are delighted to announce the arrival of AJ George, who comes in to strengthen our attacking frontline.

As many of you already know, AJ featured for the Yeltz in our most recent game at Leamington on Tuesday night in the Birmingham Senior Cup. But let’s delve into the career of our new man.
The left winger who can also play in the midfield, started his career in the Oxford United academy, and even featured twice for the first team in League Two, before leaving the club in 2016. The 29 year old moved to then fellow League Two side Mansfield Town, but didn’t feature for the club, and instead over an almost three year spell went out on three separate loans to Mickleover Sports, Hednesford Town & North Ferriby United.
The Antigua & Barbuda international proceeded to spend February 2019 – October 2021 playing in the National League South for Chippenham Town & Oxford City. AJ moved to Rushden & Diamonds in October 2021, where he made just over 20 steps 3 appearances before he moved to Tamworth in the summer of 22.
George struggled for game time at The Lambs and featured just 11 times in the league in a nine month spell. Searching for more game time, he joined then step 3 side North Leigh in March 2023, and in his short two month spell at the club, scored twice in six league appearances for the relegated side. In the summer of 2023, George stayed in step 3 for another year, and signed for Redditch United. George featured 27 times in the league for Redditch, scoring twice, but got double digits in asssists to his name.
After a year at Redditch, AJ moved to Banbury United in July 2024, who had recently been relegated from step 2 at the time. AJ featured 33 times in the league for the Puritans, and had his most prolific scoring campaign of his career with five league goals. After a year at Banbury, he joined Stratford Town last summer, and made 12 league appearances, before his departure in November. In his long career so far, George has played alongside current Yeltz players, Josh Smile (Chippenham Town), Kyle Finn (Tamworth) & Ryan Wollacott (Redditch United).
Yeltz boss ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ง๐ง shared the following words after Tuesday night’s game on the recent arrival.
“We have been trying to get him for a couple of weeks now, but for one thing or the other it hadn’t quite happened. We have something around the corner for him, whether he goes out to get some games just to get him up to speed, because he hasn’t played a lot. Y
“We saw the quality of him, almost scored in the first half. But we need to the minutes into the body so that he is ready for us come the end of the season. He’s a good lad, been around the circuit a bit, but he is someone who has a wealth of experience and hopefully can help us kick on.”
