Re-Signing with a Smile

We are delighted to announce Josh Smile is staying for another season with Halesowen Town Football Club.

Josh joined the club last season and quickly became a huge part of Russ Penn’s squad, his time on the pitch including a fantastic goal against Stamford at The Grove.

Having previous experience at the likes of Gloucester City, and Banbury United, Josh is a fantastic retainment for the 2025/26 campaign.

Russ Penn noted that, “Getting Josh over the line shows our ambition as a football club.

“He certainly proved his worth last year and hopefully a year on he can take us to another level, setting the standards I expect from this team.”

Josh also added there, “Feels like unfinished business, as it was disappointing to not get over the hurdle last year so we want to hopefully right that wrong.

“The support the club receives home and away is incredible and its joy to play in front everyone week in and week out.

“Obviously staying is great. The fans and the relationships I’ve built over that period last year especially with the chairman, the gaffer and the boys was special.”
