Welcome to the Yeltz, Ethan Sephton! The defence continues to strengthen 👌
The club are delighted to announce our fourth summer signing ahead of the 2026/27 season, as left back Ethan Sephton joins the club, after recently leaving Alvechurch in March

The 26 year old, who has over 100 step 3 appearances in his career, started his footballing journey in the Solihull Moors academy, while also spending time at Alvechurch for their 14 & 16 teams. In early 2019, at 18, he had a trial at Premier League Burnley, before another at then League Two side Bradford City that summer.
The left back joined Derby County’s academy in January 2020, but left later in the year in October to go back to the Church, but this time to play for the first team, where he played with our very own Ben Cassidy for the next two years. He featured five times for the remainder of Alvechurch’s 2020/21 season, all of which in the starting XI, before the campaign ended early in November 2020 due to the pandemic.

In the 2021/22 season, Ethan got his first proper taste of uninterrupted senior football. He made 27 league appearances for the Church, all but one of which in the starting XI. Ethan also featured as an unused substitute five times during the campaign, as well as completing a full 90 minutes in their step 3 play-off semi-final against Peterborough Sports.
The 22/23 season saw Septhon make 12 league appearances for the Worcestershire side, and score his first senior goal (s) against Hednesford Town & Leiston, before departing for step 2 Boston United in January 2023. He ended the campaign by making 18 National League North appearances for the Lincolnshire side.

Ethan started the 23/24 campaign by making 16 NL North appearances for the Pilgrims, where he even assisted four goals in four games towards the end of the season. After 18 months at Boston, and a promotion to the National League, Sephton moved back to Alvechurch in the summer of 2024.
The 2024/25 season saw Ethan make 34 league appearances, all but two of which in the starting XI. The most recent campaign saw him make 27 league appearances, all of which starts, before leaving in March. The season also saw him make 25 consecutive league appearances, and keep seven clean sheets.
Everyone at the club would like to welcome Ethan to the Yeltz 🤝
