Yeltz 2025/26 Awards Evening
🙌 Last night saw the much anticipated awards evening to celebrate and recognise the brilliant work and impact players, volunteers & fans have had on the club over the last nine months!
A total of 11 awards were up for grabs last night at The Yeltz Bar, as we not only celebrated the amazing efforts everyone has put into the club over the 2025/26 campaign, but also remembered the life and amazing contributions the late ‘Mr Halesowen Town’ Colin Brookes had on the football club 💙
The Award Winners
Top Scorer – Jason Cowley
Presented by Yeltz gaffer Russ Penn, the award of top scorer was given to, who else, but our number 9 Jason Cowley. Cowls scored a total of 37 goals in all competitions, and his tally of 31 in the league saw him pick up the Southern Premier Central top goalscorer award
Chairman’s Player of the Season – Jason Cowley
Presented by Yeltz Chairman Keith McKenna, the award was given to Jason Cowley
Supporter’s Player of the Season – Jason Cowley
Presented by Yeltz Kitman & Radio Halesowen Town Co-commentator Nick Morgan, the award was presented to Jason Cowley. The Yeltz number 9 won the award after gaining more votes than any other Yeltz player through the fan vote before and after the games against Harborough Town & AFC Sudbury
Players Player of the Season – Jason Cowley
Presented by Yeltz captain Josh Smile, the award was given to Jason Cowley. The Yeltz number 9 racked up the most votes from his peers, out of all 19 first team players who voted
Manager’s Player of the Season – Jason Cowley
Presented by Yeltz gaffer Russ Penn, the award was given to… Jason Cowley, for a clean sweep of all four awards (Chairman’s, Supporter’s, Players & Manager’s)
Presidents Player of the Season – Ben Cassidy
Presented by Yeltz Club President Ron Moseley, the award was given to Ben Cassidy. The Yeltz number 3, who couldn’t attend the evening, had his award presented to his Dad. The Yeltz defender featured in 47 of our 51 games in all competitions, scored two goals, but importantly assisted 10
Media Team’s Player of the Season – Ben Cassidy
Presented to Radio Halesowen Town commentators Tom Cartwright & Frank Williams, the award was given to Ben Cassidy. Frank & Tom also gave special mentions to Ben Ditchfield, Simon Wright, Jamie Sircom, Nick Morgan, Gary Winter, Nathaniel Lloyd & Matt Ponter for all of their amazing contributions to the media this season

Everyone at Halesowen Town would like to give a big congratulations to all the award winners, and everyone else connected with the club whole heartedly for their amazing work over the 2025/26 season for representing and making the Yeltz such a great club on and off the pitch.
A special mention to Jackie Brookes, who has worked extremely hard for yet another season organising all the away day coaches for supporters, and making sure she put all of their safety and wellbeing on Matchday’s first!
Well done everyone, and we look forward to seeing you all again in July as our pre-season campaign gets underway, and in August for the start of the new league season in what promises to be an exciting 2026/27 campaign for the club 💙
