Manager Russ Penn welcomes three new additions to his first team squad.
Finley Holmes joins us on a one-month loan from Solihull Moors, Josh Smile makes the move from Gloucester City, and we also welcome forward Enock Lusiama.
Finley signed with Solihull this season, having previously played his football with Studley, and Stourbridge.
The 18-year-old forward was awarded the Young Player of the Year award at Studley, after making his mark in the Midland Football League.
Russ thanked Andy Whing for allowing the club to have Finley on loan from the Moors.
“He bolsters our striking options and our wide options as well. He is quick and has come with a real enthusiasm and is excited to play for us.”
Josh meanwhile joins us in midfield and has plenty of experience playing in leagues above.
Initially part of the Fulham Academy, Josh ventured into the National League South to play for Chippenham, before making a move to the National league tallying 50 appearances for Maidenhead.
More recently, Smile has played his football in the National League North, with Banbury and Gloucester.
Russ Penn was delighted to get both deals over the line, and said that “we know we’ve been light, but we’ve got them in.
“Josh Smile, who I’ve managed against many times, he’s an excellent player. He’s come to prove himself and get back to the levels he was at prior, and we can give him that opportunity.”
Enock is another forward option for Russ Penn to pick from and joins us on a short-term deal.
He moved to England from Spain in 2019 and played in the non-league pyramid before signing his first professional contract with Accrington Stanley in 2022. He most recently played his football at Atherton Collieries.
Russ mentioned that Enock “has landed on our lap a little bit.
“We will see how it goes for a month and have a look at each other. He is ready and raring to go.”
