Following on from the win at home to St Ives two days before, Russ Penn marked his 15th game in charge with a win against former boss Paul Smith as another impressive display saw the side come away with a 2-1 win at Bromsgrove Sporting.
Despite an out of form Bromsgrove starting the game in the ascendancy and scoring the first goal of the game, the Yeltz showed an incredible recovery to equalise minutes later and add a second to turn the game on its head.
"I thought that was our best performance of the season so far, we had energy, our football was excellent barring the first 15 minutes which were edgy. I thought we controlled the game.
"We got through a sticky situation after their goal and the momentum was in their favour, but we swung it our favour and scored two great goals which allowed us to control the game in the second half, we should have scored more with the chances we had on the edge the box but overall I'm delighted with the performance today and over the weekend as a whole.”
Penn was also pleased with the linkup between Adi Yussuf and Kieren Donnelly stating, "I’m especially happy with the linkup between Adi and Kieren, I thought they were outstanding first half and the fitter they get the better they'll get. We didn't play two up top all pre-season and then we do it in two matches and get six points, it also allowed us to create more chances and play higher up the pitch."
The home side took the lead through on loan Walsall striker Charlie Wragg just after 15 minutes when he was played in behind by Billy Shaw whose defence splitting pass found its way to the forward to score his third goal of the season.
Against a Bromsgrove side with an incredible record in games where they scored first at home which has seen them win five of their last six games when doing so, the Yeltz needed a response and when Donnelly was found in the box, they got the exact response needed after he turned the defender before firing low and finding the net for an instant equaliser.
Minutes after Charlie Wragg almost restored the home side's advantage after a ball in from Aksum White on the right fizzed across the box allowing Wragg to stick a foot out and force an incredible save from Platt who made himself big to allow a point blank save.
Kieren Donnelly then almost recorded his second of the game as Conor Tee against his former club picked up a loose pass from the home side, picking out Adi Yussuf who sent Donnelly through to force a block and award his side a corner.
From the resulting corners the ball found its way out to defender Nat Kelly on the edge of the box with 10 minutes of the half to go who from 20 yards out hit an unstoppable goal of the season contender into the top left corner to put the Yeltz into the lead going into the break.
The second half saw the Yeltz dominate and with better finishing they could have finished the game off. Ten minutes from the start of the half Kieren Donnelly turned his man before his deflected effort found its way to Yussuf who forced a save from former Stourbridge goalkeeper Charlie Price.
Yussuf almost found himself with another chance minutes later after a McKauley Manning free kick deflected his way only for him to narrowly miss the ball at the back post before efforts saw Donnelly and Manning hit wide of the post.
Penn's side controlled the game amazingly though and in the second period showed a high level of game management which saw another convincing defensive display on top of retaining and containing possession to see the game out.
Bromsgrove in search of a last gasp equaliser almost scraped their way to a point after three corners resulted in chaos in the box which eventually saw the corner succession end with a goal kick and the full-time whistle to see the Yeltz retain their place in the top five in the league.
